Poultry: Our birds take almost twice as long to
mature as intensively reared ones and benefit from a diet free of
antibiotics, hormones and unnatural nutrients. The difference is
so profound that you will never want to eat factory farmed chicken
Beef: We are really proud of our beef - it is
superb. The cattle are all traditional breeds - Hereford, Shorthorn,
and Belted Galloway - feeding on the wide variety of sweet wild grasses
only found on organic farms.
Pork: All our pigs are traditional breeds - Gloucester
Old Spots, Saddlebacks, Oxford Blacks and Large Whites - which grow
much more slowly than the hybrids but produce an infinitely superior
flavour. They are reared outdoors in family units with plenty of
space to roam and feed naturally. And of course their diet is totally
free from hormones, growth promoters and antibiotics.
Lamb: Our lambs are fed on the sweet and varied
grasses only prevalent on organic farms. They are reared outdoors,
them healthy and free from illness. By reducing the intensity of
farming, animals are kept in peak condition,S reducing the need for
regular treatment, antibiotics and pesticides.
